The Guy & Cesar Safeguarding Method is a literacy-based approach delivered through child-friendly storybooks and structured Adult Toolkits. Together they create a clear pathway for early identification and confident conversation.

Why the Toolkits Exist

Each Guy & Cesar storybook introduces one safeguarding theme in developmentally appropriate language. That matters — but it is only the starting point. The Adult Toolkit Pack is the structured layer that completes the method. It helps adults explore the topic properly, ask the right questions, notice potential concerns early, and take appropriate next steps within their own safeguarding or child protection system. This approach is grounded in the belief that early action matters, which we explain further in Why Prevention Matters.

The Two-Layer Model

Child Layer (Storybook)
A calm, age-appropriate introduction to one safeguarding topic. It supports safe language, communication confidence, and protective understanding.

Adult Layer (Toolkit)
A structured roadmap for the adult. It guides the conversation, supports observation over time, and helps the adult respond appropriately within their local safeguarding framework.

Guy & Cesar was developed within the UK safeguarding landscape and is designed to integrate within existing child protection systems internationally. The method does not replace statutory duties, professional training, or reporting requirements. It strengthens early identification and structured adult-child communication within whatever framework already applies where you live and work.
